My style of taking and editing photos is considered "cinematic" or "documentary." This means that sessions look a little different than just smiling at the camera. I will give prompts which are actions to do like "run toward each other" or "lay in the grass and read." Prompts allow for movement and emotion. 

People have described my photos as "out of a movie" and "like a renaissance painting." Others are drawn to them because they see the emotion in them-- how comfortable and joyful the subjects are. This is why I like giving prompts, they help calm nerves, loosen people up, and are important in making the photos look like a movie scene.

Before: After you inquire, I will contact you through social media or email within 1-2 weeks. I will inform you of the price for the session you are interested in, and we can chat about the date, time, and location. I will send over the contract and invoice for you to confirm the booking. Then, you and I can get to brainstorming on all the creative aspects of the session! If requested we can create a Pinterest board that covers everything from the colors, outfits, inspo pics, and overall feeling. We will also talk about any props that you would like to use during the shoot. I want to make the pre shoot planning process as fun and stress-free as possible. We can brainstorm together, or if you would like me to do all the brainstorming that is fine too. 

During: Once the day arrives, I want you to be as comfortable as possible! Please, wear something you are confident in! During the shoot, I will direct you on what to do, but you always have freedom to go off script. Some prompts I may give include walking, running, and spinning, so keep that in mind when you choose your outfit. If you are with your partner or friend(s), I would love for you to focus more on them than on me! Look at them, talk to them, laugh with them. I want the session to feel more like you're hanging out and doing what you would normally do. That is how I can achieve the natural, documentary-style photos. 

After: I will have your photos edited and sent back to you within a month after shooting! You will receive around 100 photos from an hour session. I do not limit how many photos I give you. You will receive all the good ones. Typically, I will include some black and white versions in your gallery as well. I will send you the link to your gallery and you can download the photos through it. Whenever you receive them, feel free to post them on social media or have them printed!
